Parametric design does not have to mean complex, futuristic shapes. This minimalist 3D printed concrete lamp, designed by Vertico intern Yaya Huang of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, makes that point with a clean form and a subtle grey gradient.
Simplicity as a design choice

The gradient is achieved through precise layering. It gives the lamp depth and refinement and shows that parametric design can be just as strong when it is simple.

A lamp for minimalist interiors
The lamp fits a loft or a minimalist interior. We see it in the calm, refined spaces of Tadao Ando.

Printed with a 2K concrete mix
The lamp shows the quality and control we achieve with our 2K printhead, the Accelerator Printhead. Sharp edges, a smooth surface and an even color gradient all come from that control.
