Innovative 3D-Printed Public Bench Design
This 3D printed concrete public bench came out of a master's program at the Technical University of Eindhoven. Together with Assistant Professor Cristina Nan, Vertico contributed to the program, which focused on 3D concrete printing with Rhino and Grasshopper. At the end of the course, one student design was selected and printed as a public bench.
A fluid form for public space
The bench has a fluid, organic form that fits naturally into urban environments.
It shows how 3D concrete printing produces complex geometries without traditional molds. That also reduces material waste.
