Adding colour to the mix
Vertico has added color to 3D concrete printing. Our latest development shows how color can be integrated directly into the printing process, giving designers a new level of creative control over printed concrete.
The print below was made with the Accelerator 2K printhead, together with our slicing software, Vertico Slicer, and a six-axis robotic system. It is a vibrant, non-planar form that combines technical rigor with aesthetic exploration, printed with consistent material and stable layers.
How the Accelerator Printhead adds color and control
This development is a new milestone in our collaboration with MAI International, as we continue to work on multi-material extrusion and print customization.
Adding pigment or additive layers makes it possible to create rich surface gradients, functional zoning and more expressive architectural elements, all within a single fabrication pass. You can read more about the technology behind our concrete printers on our technology page.
