Creative Moments Captured: Vertico’s DDW 2024 Experience
At Dutch Design Week 2024, Vertico showed how robotic 3D concrete printing can be used in architecture, furniture and art. The exhibits ranged from a sculptural column to printed pedestals and a designer wall and table.
What we showed
- Two Vertico pieces: a sculptural 3D printed concrete column and our concrete speaker
- A full collection of 3D printed pedestals made for the Isola Design exhibition space (@isola.design), designed to present other creative work while standing out as objects themselves
- A collaborative concrete column with TU Eindhoven (@tueindhoven), exploring architectural form and parametric design
- A detailed wall and table by designer Nourhan Rabah, fabricated with Vertico's concrete printing technology
Why it matters
Dutch Design Week gave us a platform to show the aesthetic and structural freedom of robotic concrete printing. Smooth surfaces, clean lines and complex geometries are possible that would not be feasible with traditional formwork.
